Most US CC issuers will honor a chargeback dispute based on complete failure to provide service even if the 60 days have passed. During the first 60 days, you have a statutory right to have your chargeback granted when an air carrier is unable to operate as the result of bankruptcy. After that, you do not have a statutory right, but this is where having a better card matters.
