I generally agree with the OP. The positives are the same experience I had except I'm only ST Elite (not Plus) due to DL Silver status. However, since half of my flights were in business class and the other half in coach (because MF has no clue how to price an itinerary correctly), I did get the treat bag in coach as if I were ST+. Just a newspaper and water.
Some positives to add:
1. The ground crew are also very nice and the lounge ladies generally OK. Most can't communicate about WiFi or delays (see negatives).
2. When needing WiFi the lounge lady will use a personal cell phone to subscribe for WiFi and give me the PIN since I claim my phone doesn't work in China (it only sometimes does as the carrier I use almost never delivers text messages abroad).
Some negatives to add:
1. MF has not figured out how to have one flight depart on time. Four flights and all four delayed more than an hour on the same itinerary.
2. MF can't figure out how to announce delays, post delays or communicate about delays. This may also be a function of the airport itself (I went through HGH both ways).
