Hey, it's very simple to prove/disprove. Let's get the Chase N/24 status of everyone who applies going forward and is approved for an Alaska card. If what you posit is true, everyone who's at 5/24 (across all bank card accounts showing up on credit reports) or higher will be denied for an Alaska card, just like they would denied for a United card. But if just one person who's way over 5/24 gets approved for the Alaska card, your theory is discredited.
Please specify what "various sites" you're referring to. I hope you don't mean reddit. There's a lot of garbage reports on reddit, and on Reddit thereis not the culture of challenaging dubious reports, sorting out the good reports from the bad reports, etc.
It's DoC who said that 2/3/4 only applied to BofA cards, and it's DoC who was the first to report most of the Chase 5/24 developments before they happened.
Remember, just because BofA may be looking at other bank cards in some way at some time, that doesn't prove that they're part of 2/3/4. It could be separate layer with separate metrics. 5/24 isn't the only anti-churning layer at Chase, so why would 2/3/4 necessarily be the only anti-churning layer at BofA?
