Heh, true. Oahu is not as big as Hawai'i (the Big Island) but it could also be that these cars really get used quite a bit as there's pretty much constant flow of tourists and over time miles can rack up as peolple drive from one site to another.

Especially the Big Island. From my personal experience, I was on the Big Island for a quick weekend jaunt (away from my work here at HNL) and I was a bit more ambitious and really wanted to see lots of sights (ie, no stopping at restaurants, eating and drinking lots of bento/to go and gatorades) and I basically put 650 miles in 1.5 days (saturday and sunday until about 6pm)....
