That may not be true any longer. I was in GZ last month for the Canton Fair, I stay at a Marriott where I always had access to everything. Not this time. Spoke to the sale manager at the property, who I have met before. He said that due to the Party Congress, their VPN had been shut off for 3 months, and there was no word on if and when it would go back on.
