They don't want to compete with the M&S offering at the back!
Don't complain too loudly - "our customers traveling in Club Europe told us they would rather be able to buy from the on board stock of M&S food than the downgraded and deliberately made poorer complimentary offering. We are delighted to offer this alternative instead of the complimentary offering as we always listen to our customers and their feedback (when it suits our cost cutting purpose)."
