When he's right, he's right. For more, check the sticky thread Empress posted re AC fares at the top of the forum or at www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22809

BTW, it's fairly clearly spelled out when making an online booking what the change and/or cancel rules are. So this can't be blamed on AC for not giving all the details in advance. This was cut & pasted from a booking I made yesterday:

FUN: Changes are permitted for a $25 fee per direction, plus taxes and any fare difference, subject to availability and advance purchase requirements. A higher fare could apply in addition to the change fee. Changes/cancellations can be made to an existing reservation. Value of unused tickets can be applied within a one-year period from date of issue of the original tickets to the value of a new ticket subject to a $25 cancellation fee. Customers who no-show for their flight will forfeit the fare paid. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

TANGO: Changes are permitted for a $25 fee per direction, plus taxes and any fare difference, subject to availability.

Air Canada's non-refundable tickets for travel within North America must be used for the flights ticketed, except in cases where the itinerary change is made, change fee and difference in fare are paid prior to the departure time of each ticketed flight segment. After the departure date, tickets for non-refundable fares will have no value and cannot be changed, exchanged or refunded for any purpose.

I thought you never travelled AC anyway, ML.?
