Published policy indicate updates to citizenship document (eg new nationality) requires a visit to NEXUS enrollment centre. It is very likely they want to see the original document associated with a change of nationality instead of a fax.

Going in with originals is the way to go.
The KTN field number used previously in anticipation of PreCheck remains useful until the status in the TTP expires or is revoked/denied.
