In February, I booked a First Class ticket to Las Vegas, RT from Washington D.C., with a stopover in Charlotte (both directions) for this coming July 4th weekend, on USAir for 50,000 miles. No problem at all; had my choice of several flights. As I recall, availability in coach using the "standard" (non premium) award was also pretty good at that time. Of course, by booking in advance on USAir you are gambling on its long-term survival...
