Agreed... just like in the old days shops were shut on Xmas in the West, now you'd be hard pressed to find places that are actually shut for the whole period.
I think CNY is interesting because it shows how much Singapore relies on foreign workers from Malaysia and China. While places are increasingly kept open, they do struggle. I went into one massage place and they said, that they had to reduce the number of slots available because many of the torturers .. I mean masseurs had gone back to Malaysia for CNY
