My experience has been better than 50% upgrades this year so I consider this benefit a big plus over the previous loyalty program where I rarely received a complimentary suite upgrade as a Diamond.
I set my expectations low and I don't expect the upgrade but so far, I have been very pleased. I hope Hyatt keeps this benefit for next year.
One minor correction: 2 of the 9 suite upgrades were done with TSUs so it's really 7 out of 14 upgrades to suites without asking. But 3 of those stays were at HP so it's 7 out of 11 at upgrade available properties - did I confuse everyone yet?
The TSU availability has been excellent this year, including for my upcoming stay on points at the Park Hyatt Paris Vendome ^
I'm pleased with WoH so far, and while it's far from perfect, the 20-nights to Globalist promo caused me to move some nights to requalify for 2018.
