I do agree with you. I think Amex HK probably have on the best customer service you can find here. Whenever I had to call them for anything, they know what to do and the problem is solve right away.
As for the OP, I guess CX should be able to provide you some form of written confirmation that they did the transfer. That would tell you right away where the money is, on CX side or on your cc company side. But in general CX is quite refunding. I had to refund a ticket in august. refund was posted on my cc few days later
