Hi, I bought tickets from China Southern for my parents (New York - Guangzhou) and want to choose aisle seats. I booked through Chase ultimate rewards using points and there it says I need to contact airline directly to choose seats. I tried to do seat reservation at China Southern website, but it always gave me an error whether I use confirmation number of E-ticket Number. I called China Southern and was told that I need to provide passport images and pay to choose seats. I searched the forum and found people talking about choosing seats online successfully, but not sure how they did it. Others mentioned about emailing the local sale office to choose seats. Anyone has any recent experience of choosing seats?
