I did the whole blowfish experience when I was in Osaka two years ago and it didn't impress me either in regards to both the experience (the meal took forever) or the taste of the blowfish. Glad to have done it, though.

I don't think I ever expected to be bored but Japan is perhaps the only country where I have a great desire to see all of it. I certainly don't feel that way towards the States and have no desire to see a lot of the various famous things in this country (ie Mount Rushmore, Hoover Dam, Gettysburg, etc.)
My immediate list consists of completing
Nihon Sankei, taking the ferry across the Tsugaru Straits, seeing the Japanese Alps, Kanazawa, Shikoku, etc.
