You must not have been there in a while :-). I found the L5 hotel (the one across from the airport) to have the highest standard I've ever seen in that part of the world. It was clean, had an elevator, working AC, working Internet (free) and the hotel café/restaurant was good. My room had a balcony overlooking the airport and I spent hours there each day, just enjoying the breeze and the view.
