I will whisk around the airports with a slingbag with both my hands free. My carry-on bag is always check-in. I sit in the lounge and walk to the gate some 30 -20 min before departure. No queue, no fuss, no hassle, no worries......

People tell me that they do carry-on because of lost baggage experience. Well, I lost my bags twice and that was in the late 80s on some small US airlines.....we are now 2017, the system is almost foolproof.

I guess we all fly for different reasons. You certainly enjoy a more carefree life than I. I usually have a dinner, lunch or meeting booked within 45-75 minutes of landing depending on the airport. I'm not standing around to wait for checked bags. So yea, for me it's worth it.

I'm not worried about my bag getting lost. I just don't feel justified standing around burning extra time waiting for a bag.

Totally lost about George Clooney??
