Introduction We chose this hotel because we were looking for a newer Park Hyatt property in Europe. Stayed here for 2 nights in August for our honeymoon. The hotel is about 50-55 minutes away from the airport. We got a rental car to drive there. Parking is complimentary with valet. Check in was quick, offered free breakfast both days for honeymoon. Room Standard King room was huge 50 square meters and very quiet and with a nice view of the resort and mountains. The hotel is just over 1 year old so the room has the latest technology and is in flawless shape as far as cleanliness and quality. Bathroom had a rain shower and a tub. Mirror above sink had a nice built in TV. The toiletries were excellent quality and were also given dental, shaving, cleanliness kits. Service The property is on the hills so a lot of walking up stairs to get to our room but scenic and was good to work off the calories. Can also get transported fairly easily in golf carts if you do not wish to walk many flights of stairs.The staff at the hotel were all very pleasant and friendly, from the check in to concierge to valet, room service, cleaning, and restaurant workers. There is a shuttle to Canyamel beach a few minutes away that departs every hour. Amenities Pool area was great but as other reviewers mentioned, a bit small for the amount of guests at the property. Also the main pool was usually packed with families and young children when we were there. Felt more like a kids pool than adult pool. 24 hour gym was excellent with a full bench with barbell and free water bottles. One of the better hotel gyms I've seen. The spa was stunning with relaxation room, sauna, therapy rooms, vitality pool. Issues There were some issues such as the AC working but not cooling to the lower temperature we desired. Also called for ice and did not received it until 1.5 to 2 hours later which required a repeat call. Vitality pool at the spa had a bee swarm that was unable to be controlled. Also lost electricity for approximately 30 minutes during our stay. There was also an instance when we were unable to get in touch with main reception to have our car brought from valet. Found out on our last day that the handheld shower head in the tub was also not functioning. Noted a broken glass left on the steps of the property that was not picked up by staff for 2 days. We discussed these with the manager Diletta at check out and she assured us they would be addressed and offered us compensation for the inconveniences. She was great and very receptive and understanding. We felt that she really cared about the guest experience at the hotel. However, we felt the compensation could have been slightly better due to the numerous issues. Overall Overall a beautiful modern new Park Hyatt property, with a great Mallorcan feel. The friendly staff made our stay pleasant. While it was a nice, relaxing and beautiful honeymoon stay, it feels as if the hotel is mainly occupied by families with kids and older couples. Not many people in their 20s staying here. As with any hotel, especially newer ones, there are issues to resolve but we believe that they will be addressed and improved. Justifiably, the expectations are very high for a property with the Park Hyatt name.
