I also experienced a wait time of about 45 minutes in "fast track" last week so 20 minutes sounds comparatively ok
About the lounge, the problem is that there is only one (third party operated) lounge for Schengen departures which results in overcrowding at times. Too many families gain access to the lounge through their Vueling flex tariffs, or simply by paying the €26 entry fee. Added to that, we are in peak holiday getaway season in Spain and thanks to a recovering economy, more Catalan families are enjoying an overseas break this summer.

For the strike of some security staff, I can tell you that there was another kind of strike going on for some airport workers as all luggage carts were unavailable to pax due to a strike action
