No brainer
I don't think its quite such a slam dunk. Gatwick 777s are being refreshed from spring 2018 to feature a smaller, refreshed CW cabin with new IFE.

Given that equipment can change at any time, I would go for whatever airports (LGW vs LHR, OAK vs SJC) suit your purposes better.
