i would never want to transfer on their buses in any case....too crowded & not managed well....taking a taxi between terminals is always a good idea....
Those buses have been awful for decades. I would also suggest that prepaid taxis make more sense -- especially to minimize exposure to the high heat and humidity, but also to save time and avoid that scene.
There used to be a time in India when at least women of means were far safer in India than is now the case. As online porn/mobile phone porn spread like weed across the country, the situation only got worse and worse in terms of safety for women and not having to worry about unwanted/illegal physical contact and verbal assaults. Keep in mind that even kissses used to be censored in movies for most of India's history post-British occupation.
