One year I dropped from *G to *S, but when flying an international flight that I booked when I was *G, the boarding passes for the international segment reflected *G boarding priority. My guess is the carrier's record hadn't reflected my change in status yet. On the return, alas, it had been updated.
So it is entirely possible your information just hasn't been updated yet. I would carry your physical card with you as a backup, as others have suggested.
