No.
Flying CNS-SYD is going 1222 miles (~2.5hrs) in the wrong direction, which you then just fly back.
CNS-SYD-HKG-SFO & CNS-HKG-SFO

At SYD the domestic to international transfer is best avoided. International and Domestic terminals are opposite and across Sydney's Kingsford Smith International Airport, 4km / 2.5 miles away.
You are unlikely to be on 1 ticket. QF will not transfer checked luggage on separate tickets, so you will need to make your own way to T1. VA will be no better.
