This seems like a lot of hassle. I mainly do SDC for when my plans have changed a bit or when my preferred routing is more expensive and I can live with the cheaper one if the front cabins fill up. It often makes the A fare totally worth it for me because then I can SDC to a routing that would be more expensive in Y than the A fare on the cheaper routing. It's a beautiful benefit. My SDC success on Y fares sucked as a PM. I don't understand all the routing rules and all that, usually just change connecting hubs as I hate ATL and prefer MSP/DTW. The only alternative routing I could get is some through LGA. But threatening legal action on the phone is going to get you nowhere, fast. HUCA - Twitter - whatever.
