I'm in a similar situation. I was status matched but I was in the batch downgraded to Classic Plus after the first year despite getting the 15,000 required before reinstating me to Elite in January albeit with the same expiry date of December 2017.
I thought I would leave it until I had 37,500 - in fact I now have 42,760 points (with over 40,000 on TK metal) but my account stubbornly won't say I've qualified for another two years.
I'm trying to sum up the energy to send a message to them. Maybe I'll do it this weekend...
