Do any insiders/gurus know why the new 777-300ERs don't fly often to Europe? I'm wondering why A6-EPV onwards rarely fly those routes over the American/GIG and shorter ME routes. Really hoping to try the new J this year.
I'm no insider/guru but I figure that since these are ULR frames they would be best used on the US/South America 777 routes and nearby destinations between ULR rotations. The ULR frames are definitely starting to feel outdated when you consider that in BOS we sometimes get non -ICE digital widescreen frames. For the US, it's definitely a welcome change especially when you consider that IAH and DFW were downgraded from the 380, so the difference to a J passenger is pretty big on a 12-16 hour flight.
