COS found a way to promote the airport with a club that is agnostic to airline flown. Frankly it is in many ways better than an airline club, with good snacks, full bottled water and decent coffee. I would love to see a UA club in SLC, but something on par with COS would be fine as well.
Dayton has done the same thing; technically, you need to be a member of the local chamber of commerce, but in reality I've always been let in just by signing the guestbook. Works great for business travel.
Akron/Canton has a similar lounge. It doesn't have snacks but has good work cubicles and it's quiet.
