So, what's your response to my earlier question about graphite or carbon fiber golf clubs, bikes and skis? Should people be allowed to carry those on since graphite and CF are so fragile? Are the carbon fiber luggage racks in the cargo holds at risk of collapsing? Should people not fly on 787s since they are made of CF and may break or crack?
Aircraft pits are between cabin temp or colder, not hotter. In the air, they are heated, that heat will likely NOT exceed cabin temp. On the ground, while ambient air can get in, they are a shaded cave, not much circulation, they'll be below the outside air temp unless left sitting for a very long period. AIrlines don't like to leave "in service" aircraft sitting around unused, especially loaded for a dptr. Your car trunk is the opposite. It acts like "the cooler" (an ironic term) from cool hand luke
