Correct. You could have went to the far left of the arrivals hall where there are 8 primary booths which run perpendicular to the mail line of booths. Once processed there you would have emerged directly into the departures area at approximately gate 52. Note that there are currently no NEXUS kiosks at the transit PIL. This situation may change once the new transit lounge opens shortly in what used to be the National Bank lounge.
