I haven't flown KE, but also can't remember which airline does this (post right above - it was TK!). Great idea, costs almost nothing. I may know if I want the first meal, but on long haul I have no idea what I'll want.
One thing that would be nice is a snack/sandwich that would be available on leaving the plane. I've never seen it and usually bring my own, but I may still have a couple of hours of travel or need to rush to a meeting (OK - not me, but others!) and a quick snack (or bacon butty in London) is a really great help. Same with hotels that will pack a quick breakfast for super-early departures when I can't make breakfast.
