Broken Pipe personal items damaged
Staying at a Renaissance as a Marriott Platinum member and overnight yesterday there appeared to be a broken pipe and water leaked from the ceiling over my entire wallet and an Ipad whilst I was asleep. The wallet was sodden in the morning and the contents with it(still wet now) also an ipad got a total drenching but appears to be OK.
Other than apologies and offer me 5000 Marriott reward points Im quite disappointed with the response from the hotel.
Anyone else have any experience of anything like this happening and how I should expect it to be handled by the hotel?
