I did this recently to confirm my reservation and see if the hotel could add my Marriott rewards number. They did see and confirm my reservation but couldn't make any changes such as adding my number. They said to try at check in. The other interesting note was they said the reservation was made by Expedia. On another reservation I made through the chase portal the hotel also said it was made by Expedia...
