I was really lucky not long ago when an old friend in YYZ had to drive a second car back to where he and the Mrs. lives now, in Shediac, right on Northumberland Strait.

It was my chance to visit YQB again, and then onward for my first ever Atlantic adventure. Loved Edmunston, passed through Fredericton, stayed in Moncton.

We also drove across the Confederation Bridge in a hurricane, thinking if we made it across and they closed the bridge, we'd be stuck on the other side. But then there is Cow's Creamery and the PEI Preserve Company (awesome BTW), so we would be fine.

Another day we drove to YHZ.

So you are absolutely correct, all of the drives between these cities were reasonable and beautiful.

I suspect, however, the amount of time required to fly to any of them and have a do might not include driving around time.

How many towns of 25,000 can boast of four competing domestic carriers plus seasonal widebody service to Europe using 767s and 330s?

Which is why I listed YXY.

Personally, I'd love to do a Buffalo Air run up the Mackenzie Valley.....Hay River, Deline, Norman Wells and for the adventurous Tuktoyaktuk.

P.S. Our friends over at AS are having their AS Do this year up in BRW...on the summer solstice...how awesome is that?

(Take a look at their wiki for ideas of how we can do our EPIC in small town awesome Alaska Do 2017 BRW Summer Solstice under the Midnight Sun [June 20-23, 2017] )
