Giving up on *A because of Status Match admin

Hi all,

I would welcome comments on my experience with the *A Status Match offer.

This is a copy of an email i have just sent to them today..
------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Sir's

I have received a second email from you today advising me that you have
not received my statement indicating gold or silver status in a non star
alliance programme. I am rather concerned that you have sent me this
email for a second time and would like to draw your attention to the
following list of events regarding this application.

16th Feb 2004
I originally forwarded a fax copy of my American Airlines AAdvantage
statement. This clearly shows my Platinum status in this one world
frequent flyer programme.

11th March 2004
Letter from Denise Martineau, Director, Loyalty. Star Alliance and Juliet
Hutchin, Senior Manager, loyalty bmi. Welcoming me to Gold status in
Diamond Club and telling me my welcome pack is being sent shortly.

13th April 2004
Email from Star Alliance Status Match promotion advising that 'proof of
status' had not been received. (See below under todays date for details
of the contents of this email)

Details faxed again to star Alliance

15th April 2004
I sent an email to [email protected] as follows

"I have recieved an email regarding my request for the above promotion.
The email advised that you had not had 'proof of status' from my other
carrier. I have now sent this again by fax but am concerned that if there
is a problem with the statement i wont be told. Can you advise please."

Dear Jonathan,

Thank you for writing to the Star Alliance Help Desk.

If you have successfully sent your fax to 0870 751 8076, there is no room
for concern. We have forwarded your request to the Star Alliance UK
Enhanced Elite Benefits promotion team. Once they confirm receiving your
fax, we will contact you again.

Thank you for your patience.

Regards,"
