Thanks for the advice. I ended up booking via the airline for some tickets, and AmexTravel for others. I was logged in when I booked on AmexTravel, but the trip didn't show in My Trips after booking. I spoke to Amex and they opened a trouble ticket to see why it's not showing up. Not a great first experience, but I guess I'll stick with the hassle for the 35,000 MR points I'll earn from those bookings.
