I am planning a trip to South Florida this summer, flying Delta from La Guardia to Fort Myers with my wife and teenage son. While the flight from LGA to RSW is on an Airbus 319, on the return flight the only nonstop option for us is on a CRJ-900. This is a 3-hour flight, and I understand that the CRJ-900 is a small plane. My question is: Is a CRJ-900 an uncomfortable and significantly bumpier ride enough to justify booking a one-stop flight instead of the nonstop, with an MD-88 from Fort Myers connecting in Atlanta to an A320....prolonging the trip a couple more hours overall?
