All you need sited in the pantry is router + Ooma + cordless phone base unit. All of which you don't really need to touch or use.
And if you need three non-pantry phones, buy an extra handset. That's a more reliable solution than hoping that the house wiring is OK, buying some kind of extender, running a cable from the pantry, etc.
