Years ago, when I worked ATC at LAX, UA would sometimes substitute a 744 for a couple 737 'Shuttle by United" flights during SFO weather events. We were able to negotiate a waiver to any delay for the 744 SFO flight.

I'm wondering if UA has considered this option on the select weekends when construction takes a huge hit on their hub operation.
