I really don't understand this "weekend" construction. Every flight I'm on (only weekdays) blames the delay on the construction. I'd guess I've had 15 hours of delays in the last 3 weeks, all due to construction, per the captain.
Even when they're not working on the runways, taxiways are out of service as staging areas. So there is reduced taxiway capacity well beyond the weekend runway closure period.
