Not sure what would explain this besides the answer given, but I did ask again via email.
It's interesting that a Hyatt representative would announce such a rule via private email, not only because it doesn't seem to appear anywhere in the T&C for WOH but also because when agents are wrong, they're usually unwilling to document that fact.
ADDED: Is there any hope of contacting the HGP representative here or has that team ceased to participate on FT? If this were SPG, one could easily appeal to a Lurker to get the problem corrected.
