Because you don't have a good answer for it and know your logic was defeated.... I've been in that situation, during the holidays no less. Misconnected in ATL due to delays. Got put on standby for a later flight. Eventually cleared and made it home in time for Christmas. But it certainly gives me a warm fuzzy to know people like you think my Christmas would have been better spent in ATL than being cleared from the standby list.
