I stay here a lot and like it because of the location and service (many staff know me and my likes) but the club lounge is truly awful as you say. It is the worst ever Asian one I've been to for Starwood by far. The towers lounge is nice and I think they should merge that w plat. This new lounge is already an improvement in some ways over last one which had no windows but a preferable set up in terms of design. Many many plats have complained about this lounge. For a while I switched over to w because of this but am now back at Sheraton because of full buffet breakfast benefit which they brought back while w is continental only.
Last week I stayed at JW to test. Much nicer lounge but don't let kids under 12 in after 6 which is a deal breaker for me.
