The British are smart. They make it clear on their stamps that you cannot remain in the UK for more than 6 months in the year.
The Swiss emigration also made an error with my sister as they can't count. It would be much easier to restrict stays in months instead of in days.
So true. As I learnt the hard way. But, I spent that day working on a spreadsheet calculating the entry and exit dates - that was why I realised that they made an error by a few days.
But lesson learnt - I maintained that damn document for years after to avoid the same fate.
