InterContinental Genève - Geneva

What is your IHG Rewards Club status?

Spire Royal Ambassador

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes, as usual

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked cheapest advance rate and was upgraded to an Executive Junior suite with breakfast ^

How are the rooms?
Around 45sqm
Warm and elegant contemporary design.
Bedroom with very comfortable bed.
Superb pink marble bathroom with bathtub. Large bottles of Agraria amenities
Flat screen television set with impressive selection of international channels
Nespresso machine
Very quiet

How is the exec. lounge?

There is no Club lounge at InterContinental Geneva, but I was informed that the property is planning to open one before 2018.

What was good and what was bad?

GOOD
- Very professional staff
- Elegant décor and atmosphere
- Superb breakfast offer for variety and quality of products, very nice restaurant
- Leafy and quiet environment

BAD
- No more delicious Läderach chocolate as welcome gift (but replaced by very good homemade cookies)
- Woods restaurant unfortunately closed on weekends (but Nations is a solid option for informal lunch, with great service and excellent burgers)

Value for $ or IHG Rewards Club Points? Would you return?

Hotel is not cheap but great

Location is not in the very centre (very closed to United Nations offices), but the hotel is just next a bus stop with direct access to city centre and airport (very efficient and fast public transport). Free public transport coupon offerred by hotel at check-in
