MORE SLEEP FOR ME
Seriously, EY has the 9 fully private F apartments on their 380s. They lower all the shades automatically after take off but give each individual passenger the option of opening his own window. This would make a lot of sense if done in Y or J (F as I mentioned does not matter as your in a private room w doors). The main problem is the window passenger in Y/J who falls asleep with his window open. That happens more then you think & forces either asking the FA to lean across 3 people & close it or frorces an other passenger to invade the sleeping psssengers space to close it him selves. IMO while occasionally it's nice to glance out the window, they really don't need to be open for most of the flight since the "average" passenger (FTers are not average passengers) just want to get from A-B as quickly as psbl & sleep makes the flight seem to go quicker. These days of 10 across seating means only 1 out of 5 passengers have a window. So on one hand you could say 4 out of 5 don't care or more to the point why should 4 passengers be inconvenienced so 1 passenger can look out a window
