I wouldn't consider the Andaz to be very kid friendly and there really isn't much around it nor good access to public transportation.

Do NOT assume in Asia or Europe that you can show up with more people than indicated in the reservation and it will be OK. The occupancy limit rules tend to be strictly enforced and there is no chance that you can sneak the kids into the hotel without the hotel staff noticing what you are doing.
