Several years ago DL published a MCT for LHR DL-KL of 6 hours while LHR DL-DL was 2 hours. They definitely wanted you to book the DL-codeshare LHR-AMS instead of KL. It certainly does not take 6 hours to connect in LHR even if it feels like it sometimes.
Does MCT depend on the operating carriers or the marketing carriers?
