Now sure if 5X gains much for AmEx. Sure if matches 5x for Chase Marriott, but I can't get AA or UA points with AmEx MR.

The problem is that Barclay is offering 6K EQD and 10K EQM on AA for spend thresholds. Unless AmEx can compete with that - likely not going to gain spend from the affiliated cards.
