I have CSR as well and love it for hotels and dining. All AA airfare is prepaid anyway, so I don't believe it makes any difference booking on the AMEX vs. the AA app, unless it effects my ability to cancel a flight book within 24 hours and get a full refund. Not sure if that changes using the AMEX app.
