Have you talked to the CX people in the lounge? They can be very helpful although there is no OW flight to CTU anymore. The Hong Kong Airlines option is leaving as we speak, so you're basically stuck (as I am assuming an overnight turn around, so no time to get to CTU in the morning and still make the return).

I would run to the nearest CX desk, explain the confusion, ask if they can either protect the return segment and then go to the BA/QF lounge and do the same. There are many good hotels near HKG.

The earliest cheap flight tomorrow arrives at 1:40 PM and is only £100 in Y. There is a slightly earlier one that arrives at 1:05PM for around £250.
