If it's a property the agent doesn't book regularly, will need negotiating with regional or global sales head (if part of a chain and the chain in general is frequently booked by the agent). If it's a property that's booked regularly by the agent, can negotiate direct with the hotel staff.
Just a hunch, but I think city hotels (vs. very remote properties) would be more willing to offer a change as required due to the plethora of alternate options client can opt for within the city.
Completely agree. I use a relatively new advisor, so he hasn't built many relationships yet. It was the FS in HKG where he couldn't get the change. But I'm currently staying at the Pen and having a great stay.
